just take the cartridge out, and blow across all the connections on the cartridge side. then insert the game so that it JUST fits when you push it down into the system. if need be, wedge the ORIGINAL black floppy game case to hold it down at the precise spot where the game works.
have you tried blowing on the connections?.......

Some of my N64 carts are starting to get glitchy and it’s making me sad. (Damn you StarFox 64!). If you ever have the money, you might want to look into this - an NES cart that can take a CF card full of dumped ROMs and then play them back on the original NES hardware: http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=34
